PRESS INQUIRIES

Live Earth Farm welcomes your inquiry.

Live Earth Farm is a small family-run farm in the hills above Watsonville, California. It has about 100 acres under cultivation, which feeds a community that includes over 800 families in its Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program and others who enjoy its organic produce through farmers markets, restaurants and organic markets. Live Earth Farm began its CSA program in 1996, with 25 families.

Live Earth Farm is now part of an intricate network of fellow organic growers and food artisans, plus restaurants and markets to distribute the food. For its community it is a central hub not only for a wide variety of fresh and healthy food, but farm-related activities, information exchanges and celebrations and food-related events and dialogues. Education about the earth, natural growing practices, and connecting people to the earth that feeds them have always been a central part of Live Earth Farm. The farm has hosted interns and apprentices since the late 1990s and over the years has built a platform of educational programs and events. This focus culminated in 2009 with the formation of the Live Earth Farm Discovery Program, an educational non-profit that "uses the farm as a classroom" for integrated learning about sustainable agriculture, food practices and environmental health.
